The Cordele Police Department proudly hosted our annual Shop with a Cop event.  Over 3 days, we served 72 Crisp County students this holiday season.  Each child received $100 to shop for gifts, creating unforgettable memories.  This incredible effort was made possible thanks to the generous donations from individuals and businesses who believe in making a difference.  Your support brings smiles and hope to local families.  Thank you for helping us make this season a little merrier and a little brighter!  

The purpose of the event is to foster positive relationships between youth and officers. A group of third graders are selected each year during the end-of-the-year holiday season to shop at one of the local area stores to purchase gifts for themselves, for family members or for friends.  Each child is given money to spend from donations we received from generous business owners and  residents of our community.  Police personnel escorts the child around the store and assists in selecting appropriate gifts.  After shopping, the children will be provided with snacks and has the opportunity to participate in games and activities with the police officers.
